Dr Shiv Kumar Choudhary is currently working as Professor & Head of Department of Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He has been a prolific surgeon specializing in complex aortic operations. His surgical skill and vast experience are being looked- up to by many cardiac surgeons in country who pursue aortic surgery. He has a keen interest in teaching training, and research. He has been instrumental in creating advanced facilities for complex cardiac problems, training of young surgeons, formulating national guidelines, developing newer and inexpensive India specific solutions, and advancement of science. He is also part of various professional organizations, editorial boards, and expert committees.
